SohotMax 110V Operating and Assembly Instructions
WARNING: Use of this machine for soft confetti, soft streamers, are recommended by the Manufacturer. Do not use this to launch other items. Harmful or dangerous injury can occur if not following directions.
Check for proper electrical connection (either 110v or 220v). Make allowance for 15 amps (110vac).
Check parts: 1 IEC electrical plugged cord
1 2 x 24 threaded tube
1 2 x 5 angle-cut flexible draw tube
Attach the threaded tube to the front of the machine. IMPORTANT! Make sure launch area in front of launch is clear of any obstruction/personnel prior to operation. Aim toward open area so as not to strike objects, persons, or items. Clear area around machine so not to block air intake around all vents.
Adjust bracket to hold up front of machine when sitting on a surface. Be sure to secure the unit by anchoring it down. If hanging the unit from overhead, swing the bracket completely around to the upward position and attach the C-clamp with bolt, using the safety cable. Lock the unit in position securely.
Plug power cord into power receptacle that provides 110v-10amp AC power to unit (or 220vac, 7a). For DMX control, plug into the DMX relay (accessory) then plug into the electrical outlet. Plug the DMX control cable (3 pin) into the DMX XLR connection.
Place angle-cut draw tube into the coupling on the end of the hose.
Place flexible draw tube onto the surface area of the item to be launched such as soft items, confetti, and streamers, etc. Do not stuff product into tube, but allow plenty of air to pass with the items to be launched. Note: The angle cut is to allow air with the product to be drawn into tube. This prevents clogging.
Turn power switch ON? or use DMX control panel. Beyond 50% is on power to ShotMax.
Move draw tube through material to be launched, as needed. As long as material is close to inlet, it will launch continuously. You could launch all day.
Manufacturer assumes no liability for improper use of this product.
Cyclone - Continuous Flow Confetti Launcher Operation Instructions
Warning: When using electrical devices, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury including the following:
Read all instructions.
Keep work area clean.
Don't use electrical devices in wet locations or in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
Only trained technicians should operate or come in contact with the device and control systems.
Use the right device and appropriate supplies for the task.
Secure the device to avoid it being moved.
Disconnect the device when it is not being used.
Inspect the device prior to each use.
Warning: When using confetti effects launching equipment, follow these additional safety precautions:
Position the launchers so they will not launch confetti or streamer product directly at anyone, into sensitive mechanical
equipment or onto hot devices such as lighting equipment.
Secure the launchers so they will not be moved after they are aimed. Use a safety cable if the launcher is rigged above ground.
Check for and remove obstacles from around the confetti-launching zone.
Use only new approved confetti product.
Warn people in the area a confetti launching is about to occur.
Normal operating procedures:
Remove the lid from the ATA case and store it out of the way.
Attach the venturi horn to reservoir cover. Connect on to the three studs using the three washers and wing nuts.
Connect the airline to a bottle of CO2. Smaller bottles may store in the back half. Be sure to use a washer in the hose connector.
Pre-load up to three pounds of bulk confetti in the reservoir.
Open the valve on the CO2 tank to operate.
Hand feed bulk confetti into the loading half of the Cyclone. Establish a consistent feed rate. The Cyclone will move up to one pound per second.
The Cyclone uses five pounds of CO2 per minute. But a CO2 bottle will begin to “freeze up” in about one minute. If a longer continuous effect is desired use multiple bottles and stagger their use.
